Does Helpful Folks take a commission?

No Commission on Helpful Folks

No, Helpful Folks does not take any commission on payments between customers and providers. This is one of the fundamental differences from many other platforms.

What Does This Mean in Practice?

When you book a provider through Helpful Folks and agree on a rate of, say, 20 euros per hour, the provider receives the full 20 euros. Helpful Folks doesn't deduct anything.

Conversely: When a provider charges 20 euros per hour, you pay exactly 20 euros. No platform surcharge.

How Does Helpful Folks Make Money Then?

Our business model is based on two pillars:

1. Premium Memberships

Providers can subscribe to an optional premium membership that gives them more visibility, more application credits, and additional features.

2. Application Credits

Providers can purchase additional application credits to apply for more jobs.

Why No Commission?

We believe a commission-free model is better for everyone involved:

  • For customers: You pay the fair price without hidden surcharges.
  • For providers: You keep your full compensation.
  • For the platform: We fund ourselves transparently through optional services, not hidden fees.

How Is Payment Handled?

Payment is made directly between customers and providers. You agree among yourselves on:

  • Hourly rate or flat fee
  • Payment method (cash, bank transfer, etc.)
  • Payment frequency

Helpful Folks is not involved in this process and has no insight into the specific payments.
