Registering on Helpful Folks

Registering on Helpful Folks is free and takes just a few minutes. Follow these simple steps to create your account.

Step 1: Create an Account

Visit the Helpful Folks website and click "Sign Up". You have the following options:

  • Email registration: Enter your email address and choose a secure password.
  • Social login: Sign up quickly with your Google account.

Step 2: Choose Your Role

After registration, select your role:

  • Customer: You're looking for services like childcare, household help, etc.
  • Provider: You offer services.

You can switch between roles later if you want to both seek and offer services.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

A complete profile builds trust on the platform:

  • Profile photo: Upload a friendly photo of yourself.
  • Name and location: So we can show you relevant results nearby.
  • About me: A short description of yourself and your needs.

Step 4: Confirm Your Email

You'll receive a confirmation email. Click the link inside to activate your account. Check your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive.

Step 5: Get Started

Once confirmed, you can start right away:

  • As a customer: Create your first job posting or browse provider profiles.
  • As a provider: Complete your provider profile and start applying for jobs.

Tips for a Good Start

  • Complete your profile as fully as possible — this builds trust.
  • Use a real photo, not avatars or logos.
  • Clearly describe what you're looking for or offering.
