The Three Trust Rings

The Three Trust Rings System

The three trust rings are the centerpiece of our safety concept. They are based on service categories, not individual achievement levels. Each ring represents a category of services with specific verification requirements and booking rules.

How Does It Work?

Every service category on Helpful Folks belongs to one of three trust rings. The ring determines which verifications are required, which are recommended, and how bookings work. The rings are displayed on provider profiles so customers can see at a glance what level of verification applies.

Ring 1: Heart Helpers

Heart Helpers cover the most sensitive services: childcare and elderly care. Because you're entrusting these providers with your loved ones, the highest trust requirements apply.

Required verifications:

  • Profile photo check
  • ID verification
  • Address verification

Recommended:

  • Liability insurance

Booking rule: A personal introductory video call is required before every booking. You always get to know the person before making a decision.

Ring 2: Everyday Helpers

Everyday Helpers cover practical services for home and daily life: household help, shopping assistance, garden care, pet care, repairs, moving help, and tech support.

Required verifications:

  • Profile photo check
  • ID verification
  • Address verification

Recommended:

  • Liability insurance

Booking rule: You can book Everyday Helpers directly, or optionally schedule a get-to-know video call first.

Ring 3: Knowledge Helpers

Knowledge Helpers cover learning and personal development: tutoring, language lessons, music lessons, and digital assistance.

Required verifications:

  • Profile photo check
  • ID verification
  • Address verification

Optional:

  • Liability insurance

Booking rule: Direct booking is available. Knowledge Helpers can work online or in person.

What Do the Rings Mean for Customers?

As a customer, the rings help you understand what to expect:

  • Ring 1 (Heart Helpers): Maximum safety with mandatory video call for childcare and elderly care.
  • Ring 2 (Everyday Helpers): Verified providers for household and practical tasks, with flexible booking.
  • Ring 3 (Knowledge Helpers): Verified providers for learning services, bookable directly online or in person.

The Rings Are Category-Based

Important to understand: the rings are determined by the type of service, not collected by the provider. A provider offering childcare (Ring 1) and tutoring (Ring 3) must meet Ring 1 requirements for childcare bookings and Ring 3 requirements for tutoring bookings. The verification requirements follow the service, not the person.
